Guest House
Guest House approaches interior design as a deliberate and deeply personal practice. Founded by Jordan Perry, the studio is rooted in the belief that every space should reflect intentional choices, where each texture, object, and layout serves a purpose beyond aesthetics. Through its work, Guest House explores how the built environment shapes emotion, behavior, and identity, treating interior design as both a functional necessity and a form of immersive art.
The foundation of Guest House was built through years of sourcing and reselling vintage furniture, carefully curating pieces that aligned with the studio's evolving design philosophy. Over the course of three years, this process became more than collecting furniture. It became an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients and develop a deeper understanding of how personal taste informs the spaces people inhabit. Those experiences shaped Guest House into a practice centered on creating environments that feel deeply considered and uniquely individual.
Every project begins with listening. Rather than imposing a signature aesthetic, Guest House first seeks to understand how a space will be lived in, how natural light moves throughout the day, what sounds travel through its walls, and how its atmosphere shifts from morning to evening. From there, each concept is developed around clarity, contrast, and cohesion. Working with a restrained material palette, the studio allows wood, stone, linen, and other natural elements to speak for themselves, creating interiors that feel timeless rather than trend driven.
Negative space is equally important within the Guest House approach. Empty space is treated as an active design element, creating breathing room around furniture, artwork, and architectural features. This restraint provides perspective, allowing each object to hold greater significance while fostering a sense of calm throughout the environment. Careful attention to scale and proportion ensures every piece feels intentionally placed, reinforcing an overall sense of balance and harmony.
At its core, Guest House expands the definition of interior design beyond visual appeal. The studio invites people to slow down and experience space as a living, evolving part of everyday life. Its work demonstrates that thoughtful interiors do more than look beautiful. They support well-being, encourage presence, and quietly reflect the people who inhabit them.
